Machine Making I Woodwork Course – 3 Legged Stool – Jan 2025
Have you always wanted to learn how to use the bigger woodwork machines but don't know where to start?
This course will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge needed to get you started in preparing wood for your own projects or pieces of furniture.
During this 10 week course, you will work with tutor Rod to complete a furniture project, and he will step you through safe working procedures on the machines below to enable you to develop your equipment experience and hone your finishing skills to make a Japanese Three Legged Stool.
Due to the nature of the machines being used, the course is limited to 6 places to allow each student enough time and attention with the machine and tutor.
Materials are included in the cost of the course.We are fully inclusive and Adults 18+ are welcome, but please note it is necessary for you to have some knowledge and woodwork experience in order to enrol on this course.If you have not previously completed an evening course with benchspace then please contact hello@benchspacecork.iebefore booking, outlining your previous experience, so we can assess with you if this course is right for you.

Where to Go:
This class is held in our O15 unit located at Eircode T12 YAE4.
Here's what to Wear:
Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors. If you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring them.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE will be provided by benchspace for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed. All specialist equipment and materials will be provided.
