benchspace Bites are short introductory sessions for beginners where you can make your very own piece in a single class.
If you have an interest in this digital tool, come along, experience laser cutting and get a feel for some of the possibilities that are opened up by this amazing machine.
If you can draw it on a computer you can cut it using a laser!
This is a fun taster class in laser cutting with a focus on Branding, where tutor Aidan will demonstrate 3 simple projects using our "Big Red" laser cutter.
This class is perfect for those who would like to experiment with branded designs.
He will demonstrate the entire process from idea to finished item and you will then pick the project of your choice and be guided through it from start to finish, completing a laser cut item from the list below.
Materials are included in the cost of the class and no experience is necessary.
We are fully inclusive and all skill levels (Adult 18+) are welcome, however, please note that this course requires hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow precise instructions with regards to safety.
If you have a laptop and USB stick, please bring them with you on the day. If you require a laptop, please let us know in advance so we can supply one for the duration of the class for you.

This class is held in our B1b unit located at Eircode T12 KRH7.
Here's what to Wear:
Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors. If you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring them.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
PPE will be provided by benchspace for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed. All specialist equipment and materials will be provided.
