Are you a Maker with a skill you’d like to share? We are seeking tutors with experience in jewellery skills and woodwork to deliver a fresh and exciting training programme to compliment the current offering based out of our workshops in the Marina Commercial Park, Cork City. Full details here.
We currently run courses in several formats e.g. ½ day sessions, condensed weekend skills courses, 4 week and 10 week evening courses for bigger projects and skills development.
Our courses aim to provide established makers with new skills to incorporate into their professional practice and also introduce aspiring makers to new and innovative ways of designing and creating. The aim from all our courses is that students can independently use equipment and techniques after completion of their course
We are seeking enthusiastic tutors to assist in delivering the current programme and also encourage and welcome new courses and workshop ideas in the following areas.
-Jewellery / fine metalworking
-Woodwork – beginner / intermediate / advanced – from hand tools to heavy machines.
-Themes around sustainable making are also welcomed.
Class sizes are kept small (max 10ppl) allowing for more opportunities to observe and assess individual students.
Candidates should be competent and experienced in their field and capable of teaching classes at basic / intermediate or advanced levels of making. Teaching experience is not necessary. The ability to create a welcoming environment is essential.

Course proposals can be anything from a 1 day class to 4 – 10 weeks, one evening a week courses.
