Brendan Corcoran

Brendan has always enjoyed working with his hands as well as having a keen interest in traditional crafts such as cabinetmaking, carpentry and blacksmithing.

He graduated Scoil Stiofan Naofa, Cork in 2010 after studying Fine Furniture making for 3 years.

In 2014 Brendan moved to Toronto, Canada where he secured employment in the custom woodwork shop of Julian Villasenor and worked on many high-end bespoke projects. Returning home in 2017,  he volunteered in the initial outfitting of Benchspace.

His work is influenced by many different aspects from traditional joinery methods to the inherent beauty in the wood, but also modern designs.

His work ranges from large scale furniture, jewellery/keepsake presentation boxes to custom knifes to relief carving pieces
