Make A Hammered Silver Band Ring – 10 March
Spend an evening getting creative with jewellery making. Learn how to make a simple ring from sterling silver in this 3 hour workshop. We will explore fundamental jewellery making skills and you will come away with either a hammered 6mm wide silver band ring or two 3mm chunky stacking rings. Choose from a selection of samples, find your finger size, then you’re ready to get making! We will take you through this exciting process step by step until you’ve made your very own hammered silver band ring. Materials are included in the cost of the workshop and no experience is necessary. all skill levels (18+) are welcome You’ll learn: How to use a piercing saw. How to anneal silver. How to solder silver. How to add texture using hammers and/or punches. How to finish and polish your final piece. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home a shiny (or matte) new sterling silver ring. Thing to Remember: All specialist equipment and materials will be provided. Wear shoes with a covered toe. If you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring those. Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair and don’t wear your best clothes.
