benchspace Bites – Laser Cutting

A fun introduction to laser cutting by making some simple projects
Come along and experience laser cutting and get a feeling for some of the possibilities that are opened up by this amazing tool. If you can draw it on a computer you can cut it using a laser.

Watch the instructor demonstrate 4 simple projects and the process of going from idea to finished item. Then choose one and be guided through the process from start to finish.

Projects:

• Keyring
• Cut out a message written using a script font
• Create a stencil using a stencil font
• Make a small finger joint box

What to wear

Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

PPE will be provided by benchspace for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed.
