Hands-On Heritage Festival – Greenwood Bowl Turning

The Benchspace Hands-On Heritage Festival is a special programme of traditional Irish crafts led by skilled practitioners.
It aligns with the Heritage Week 2026 theme ‘Heritage at Risk’ by focusing on natural materials and “low-tech” tools and techniques.  In this time of accelerating transformation, we’re excited to bring the public together for intimate connection with natural materials and craft techniques preserved in Irish culture.

These are fun, hands-on introductory sessions designed for beginners to explore a craft for the first time, the Benchspace Hands-On Heritage Festival is made possible by the Heritage Council’s Community Heritage Grant Scheme.
