Take Your Jewellery Skills to the Next Level
Have you completed an introductory jewellery course like Design + Make I? Or do you have jewellery-making experience you’re eager to build on or refresh? Then Design + Make II is the perfect next step!
This 10-week course is designed to push your creativity and elevate your technical skills. Guided by tutor Nadine, you’ll work on two exciting projects: a textured brooch and a hinged pendant, each introducing new techniques and design challenges. You’ll then apply everything you’ve learned to create a final piece that’s entirely your own, from concept to finished jewellery.
Who can Join: This is a Confident Beginner/Intermediate-Level Course, suitable for adults aged 18+. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow safety instructions are essential.

- Design development using sketchbooks and visual inspiration
- Refine wire forming, sawing, doming, and metal shaping techniques
- Advance soldering, riveting, and annealing skills
- Enhance your metal texturing
- Create T-bars and hinges
- PUK welding for precision joining
- Individual support and feedback

What to Wear: Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors. If you need glasses for close up work, don’t forget to bring them.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): PPE will be provided for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed. All specialist equipment and materials will be provided.
