BenchTalk: Maeve Lynch, Visual Artist – Sept 2026

BenchTalks are meet-ups where makers, and creative professionals share insights and experiences on topics relevant to the creative community.
Open to the public and FREE to attend — everyone’s welcome (Adults 18+), whether you’re hands-on in the workshop or just love being part of Cork’s creative community.

September BenchTalk: Maeve Lynch
This month’s BenchTalk is from Maeve Lynch, who is a visual artist, curator and arts worker based in Cork, and an awardee of a Benchspace Visual Artist Fellowship.
This is a wonderful opportunity to peek behind the curtain and experience a visual artists process with Maeve, who is in the early stages of experimentation, and will have samples and works in progress to show and discuss.

“My work is concerned with materiality, structures, landscape and the intersection between these elemental structures and the body. I work in a variety of media, utilising the transformative properties of materials through print, sculpture, installation and glass.
For the Visual Art Fellowship at Benchspace I have been designing & making bespoke hand drawn laser cut templates and substrates to utilise in clay and printmaking in order to create a series of sculptural objects and woodblock prints.”
