benchspace Bites are short introductory sessions for beginners where you can make your very own piece in a single class.
If you have an interest in this digital tool, come along, experience laser cutting and get a feel for some of the possibilities that are opened up by this amazing machine.
This is a fun taster class in laser cutting and whether for business, art or hobby, if you can draw it on a computer you can cut it using a laser!
Class tutor, Aidan, will demonstrate the entire process from idea to finished item using 3 simple laser cut projects on our "Big Red" laser cutter, and you will then pick a project and be guided from start to finish to cut your very own pieces.
You will need to bring a laptop and USB stick to complete this class.
Materials are included in the cost of the class and no experience is necessary.
We are fully inclusive and all skill levels (Adult 18+) are welcome, however, please note that this course requires hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow precise instructions with regards to safety.

Here's what to Wear:
Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors. If you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring them.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
PPE will be provided by benchspace for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed. All specialist equipment and materials will be provided.
