Make a Set of Stacking Rings – Thursday Evening

Spend your Thursday evening with tutor Nadine getting creative with jewellery making, and learn how to make a set of six stacking rings from sterling silver and brass or copper in this 4 hour guided workshop.

Whether a hobbyist, enthusiast or exploring a career in jewellery, we will explore fundamental jewellery making skills and at the end of your workshop you will take home your very own custom set.

Choose from a selection of samples, find your finger size, and you’re ready to get making!

We will take you through this exciting process step by step until you’ve made your very own ring set:

• 1 x 4mm wide band ring

• 1 x 1.5mm round ring

• 1 x 1.3mm round wave ring

• 1 x 1.5mm rondelle or beaded ring

• 2 x 1.2mm copper or brass round rings

Materials are included in the cost of the workshop and no experience is necessary.
We are fully inclusive and all skill levels (Adult 18+) are welcome, however, please note that this course requires hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow precise instructions with regards to safety.

Here's what you’ll Learn:

• • How to use a piercing saw.

  • How to anneal silver.

  • How to use the pickle bath.

  • How to solder silver.

  • How to add texture using hammers and metal stamps.

  • How to sand and finish edges.

  • How to finish and polish your final pieces.

This class is held in our B1b unit located at Eircode T12 KRH7.

Here's what to Wear: 
Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery and don’t forget to tie back long hair. Closed toe shoes are required on all of our workshop floors.  If you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring them.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE will be provided by benchspace for all courses that require it. It must be worn as directed.
All specialist equipment and materials will be provided.
